Frequently Asked Questions

Straightforward answers about how our remote bookkeeping and back-office support works.

General FAQs

Who is Vaughn Financial Services for?

We work with small businesses and solo service-based entrepreneurs who want simple, accurate bookkeeping and organized financial systems—without having to manage it all themselves.

Do you work remotely?

Yes. All services are provided 100% remotely using secure cloud-based tools, so we can work together from anywhere in the U.S.

What bookkeeping software do you use?

We primarily use QuickBooks Online. If you’re not set up yet, we can help you choose the right plan, set up your file, and connect your bank and credit card accounts.

Service-Specific FAQs

How does billing work?

Monthly bookkeeping packages are billed monthly in advance. One-time cleanup and setup projects are paid upfront before work begins. Custom quotes are available for larger or more complex businesses.

What happens during a bookkeeping cleanup or catch-up?

We review your existing books, bring past periods up to date, reconcile your bank and credit card accounts, and fix incorrect categorizations so your financial reports are accurate and ready for ongoing bookkeeping.

How long does cleanup or setup usually take?

Timelines depend on how far behind things are and how many accounts you have. Most small business cleanups are completed within 2–6 weeks once we have all the information we need.

Consultation FAQs

What happens on the free consultation call?

We’ll talk through your current bookkeeping situation, identify any issues or gaps, and recommend the service package that fits your needs. There’s no obligation to sign up.

What do I need to prepare before the call?

You don’t need perfect books. Just be ready to share what tools you currently use (if any), how far behind your bookkeeping is, and your main concerns or goals.

How do we get started after the call?

If you decide to move forward, we’ll confirm your service package, send a simple engagement agreement, and schedule your onboarding and any necessary cleanup or setup work.
